The Postgraduate Department of Computer Science offers B. Sc. computer science since 1998 and M. Sc. Computer Science since 2003. In addition to these degree courses , the department offers Certificate courses in DTP and Tally. The curriculum was updated and evaluation process was restructured by introducing Choice Based Credit System and internal assessment in 2008. The department has 2 computer laboratories and 70 computers. Laptop with LCD projector is used for teaching and learning processes. The professors are involved in consultancy work by giving computer training to the judicial officers of the Thoothukudi District Magistrate court. The credit for doing automation work in the college office and library goes to the teachers of the Computer department.
