About Research
The college actively promotes research and inculcates research culture, enriching and enhancing the professional competence of both faculty and students. The college has introduced a wide range of consultancy services and has been the pioneer in research in this region. As many as ten out of the twelve departments are endowed with the status of Research centers by Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli. The college has been regularly carrying out the research projects funded by International, National, State as well as Private funding agencies.
Policy on Plagiarism
- Submission of undertaking by the contributor stating that the document is her original work and not a part of any other research article.
- Submission of undertaking by the supervisor stating that the document is original work by the contributor and not a part of any other research article.
- Submission of certificate from the Parent University stating that the content is within the permissible limits of plagiarism.
- Creation of awareness on plagiarism detection tools to curb malpractices.
- Organizing Sensitization programmes on responsible conduct of research
Code of Ethics in Research
In general the research projects submitted to the universities/and/or funding authorities need to follow the rules and regulation prescribed by the concerned universities/and/or funding authorities.
In particular, the researchers undertaking research activity in the campus are required to adhere to the following code of conduct.
- The topic of research should be original and unique.
- The research should not be on an existing research work.
- The research work should be carried out throughout the stipulated period.
- To the extent possible submission should be in time.
- Collection, analysis and drawing inferences should be through proper course of action.
- Research work should be forwarded by the respective Head of the Department
- Thesis/Dissertation should be available in the college library/department library for reference to all.
- The viva voce examination should be conducted strictly as per the guidelines prescribed.
- Each publication has to be intimated to the Research Cell and to be updated in the database by the author.
- Values are to be inculcated to carryout fair research activities.
